2015 has started with a strong retail growth figures in Estonia, with 8% increase in retail revenues over the first quarter of 2014. Strongest growth took place in leisure goods (computers, sports, toys etc) with 21% QoQ growth and in household goods and appliances segment with 9% QoQ growth.
European Commission also increased its economic growth forecast for Estonia for 2015 and 2016, compared to its forecast given in autumn 2014. The GDP growth forecast for 2015 was increased from 2.0% to 2.3%, with 2.9% growth forecasted for 2016.
